At Rising Stars Nursery we pride ourselves on the quality of nutritious snacks and meals provided on a daily basis.
We follow the 'Rainbow Healthy Eating Guide', where we provide a platter of fruit and vegetables at Lunch and Tea for all children in the setting. This is a great way for children to try new healthy foods.
We encourage independence whenever possible. Examples of which are where the children (excluding the Little Stars Room) may choose and help prepare their own food for snack with supervision from a member of staff.
To ensure we meet the needs of the child, we request that all allergies and special dietary requirements are brought to the attention of staff at the time of enrolment. Should any health issues arise later, you are welcome to bring this to our attention at any time.
Special Treats: If parent/carers wish to bring in cake for their child's birthday this can be supervised and distributed by staff. Please be aware that we will only accept cakes that are in a sealed, manufacturer's container. Unfortunately we are unable to distribute cakes around the nursery that are home made.
A typical nursery day includes...
Breakfast: Children can choose from a selection of the following from the trolley: Weetabix, Rice Crispies, Cornflakes & Shreddies. Toast is available with any of the following toppings: butter, jam, or soft cheese
